Last week in advisory, we launched the course registration process for the 2023-2024 school year. As always, the focus of course registration is for students to select their Encore classes for the coming year. Students complete this process in Skyward and we encourage families to discuss the class options before they finalize their selections by the May 26 deadline.

SBA Testing Reminder
We will be conducting Math SBA testing this week and ELA SBA testing next week. Students will take all parts of the assessment online. The math and language arts assessments are administered in two parts; a computer adaptive test (CAT) and a performance task (PT). All students will complete their Math testing in their Math class and ELA testing in their ELA class. Please make sure your student arrives to school on time!

Early Release June 12th for High School Graduation
Reminder: this year, graduation for BLHS and SHS will be held June12, 2023 at the Tacoma dome. BLHS will begin at 4:00PM and SHS at 7:00PM. To support graduation attendance for students and staff at BLHS and families with students at multiple levels, Monday, June12 will be 2 hour early dismissal at all schools in lieu of the regular Monday late start.
We will begin school Monday, 6/12, at 7:20AM and dismiss at 12:20PM.
