PRIDE Under Construction - Week #22 🚧

"UNDER CONSTRUCTION" with Celebrations of P.R.I.D.E.
This past week was certainly full of high achievement, success, and lots of smiles as we celebrated our scholars for continually showing PRIDE. Students had a blast during the 2nd Nine Weeks Technology Party, as they were able to bring their personal tech devices to play games, listen to music, eat some great snacks as a reward for meeting the qualifying criteria. Also, our 2nd & 3rd grade classes celebrated students with a variety of treats for showing outstanding growth on the Acadience, Reading Inventory, & Math Inventory screeners. “UNDER CONSTRUCTION” with Parent-Teacher Conferences - FINAL WEEK!!
We would like to extend a huge SHOUT OUT to all of our parents/guardians who have already participated in your child’s parent-teacher conference to begin this semester. As a reminder, our goal is for each homeroom to have 100% parent/guardian participation in conferences, which MUST BE HELD IN-PERSON. Each class that has 100% of the parents/guardians to attend their child’s conference will receive an invitation to participate in our school wide “Family Engagement Fun Day” Celebration. Additional details are forthcoming. Also, please be sure to sign in with your child’s teacher so that your child may earn credit for your attendance, as well as for general documentation purposes to support our school's attainment of 100% parent/guardian participation. Those who do not have transportation or those with extenuating circumstances should speak with your child’s teacher, and we will be glad to make arrangements for you!
As a reminder, only those students who have a parent/guardian to attend the parent-teacher conference will be eligible to attend the Love & Basketball Game on Tuesday, February 14th.

WHO ARE WE???...
This Week at SDE:
ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!
- Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
- The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
- The PRIDE Afterschool Remediation/Enrichment Program takes place on Mondays - Wednesdays from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Snacks and transportation will be provided. For more information regarding the after school program waiting list, please contact the school at (478) 353-8250.
