Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks but we should all take a moment or two to realize how much goodness our lives truly hold–regardless of the hard things and the tough things and the not so easy things. There is so much goodness to find and seek and take delight in. I am very thankful to be part of such a supportive community that holds our students in their hearts. I am reminded to not only appreciate all the good things that have occurred, but also to delight in all that didn’t occur, all that didn’t go as planned, and all that came as a surprise. And as I take a moment to reflect on this day of Thanksgiving, I am reminded, most of all, of His goodness and guidance.
This week was filled with many different blessings. We had a number of special quests that joined us for Read In Week. Our Terry Fox challenge raised $825.00 for cancer research. Our giving tree is full of items to donate to those less fortunate. How truly grateful we are to have the opportunity to support others.
On Thanksgiving Day, as you gather with family and friends together around the same table, let us always remember and give thanks for the many blessings from our Lord. May you experience the love of Christ this Thanksgiving Day and always.
Wishihg you all a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

We want to thank everyone who came out to our school for Read-In-Week. It was so nice for the students to welcome our special guests into our school, and have them read a story . Here are a couple pictures from this past week.

THE GIVING TREE!
With Thanksgiving quickly approaching we start to reflect on all of the amazing blessings that we have in our lives. Family, friends, our health, a warm house, food, and the list goes on. Sadly, there are many people in our world who don’t have the blessing of a warm house to live in and therefore spend their days and nights on the cold streets.
With winter quickly approaching, our Grade Six S.W.A.T. team has decided to start a Giving Tree. Starting Monday, October 3 until Friday, October 14th, we will be accepting donations of new winter hats, mittens/gloves, and warm socks for at risk men, women, and children in the Edmonton and Sherwood Park area. All items collected will be donated to the Hope Mission.
Students, staff, and parents can visit the Giving Tree located in the school foyer and take a leaf off the tree. Each leaf will have an item written on it for donation. You are also welcome to send your donations into the school without visiting the tree. Thank you in advance for all of your kindness and generosity.
Let’s help keep our neighbors warm this winter!! Remember, “We Are Better Together!”
