End of Year Updates & Reminders
Shout Outs & Thank You's
As we close out the 2022-23 school year there are a number of Thank You’s that we’d like to make in recognition of our journey together this year! First, we thank our community for their constant support in so many different ways this school year. From your support of our teachers and staff during the year and your generous donations to support school-wide events like our family fun night, 8th grade celebration, and semi-formal dance in the winter. To our students, who constantly have inspired us in so many different ways through their perseverance, advocacy, and success (classroom, sports fields, and the arts). To our teachers and staff, you have done so much to put the needs of our students and the success of our school community at the forefront of your daily and weekly efforts! To our amazing custodial team, your efforts before school, after school, and on the weekends to make our 30 year old school look brand new every day are amazing. Your tireless efforts do not go unnoticed! Finally, to our office staff, thank you for being that constant helpful presence for our students, community, staff, and administration.
As we look ahead with optimism to another school year together we also wish you and your family a safe, happy, and healthy summer together. Enjoy the moments and the time together.
Take a look below at general information as we look ahead to the summer months.
Be on the lookout for additional updates and information as we get closer to August and the start of the school year.

END OF YEAR EVENTS
8th Grade Finale
With the help and support of William Penn’s PTO and generous donations from our school community we celebrated our 8th grade class with their final social event of the year on Friday, June 2nd. This annual celebratory event brought together over 250 members of our 8th grade class in a beach themed celebration that included everything from an open gym opportunity, to a DJ, and even a visit from a World Famous Water ICE truck. Our 8th grade class played, sang, danced, and ate the night away during this final celebration of the school year.
8th Grade Clap Out
For the third year in a row William Penn provided our 8th grade class with a celebratory Clap Out on the last day of school. As our 8th grade class traveled the hallways of William Penn one final time together they were cheered on by our 6th & 7th grade students, teachers, and staff who lined the hallways. Ultimately, our 8th graders were greeted by their families who were waiting for them outside to see them in their final middle school dismissal of the school year. We thank everyone for their support of this great tradition that we started three years ago.
WPMS Senior Alumni Clapout
On Thursday, June 8 William Penn welcomed back our alumni from Pennsbury’s graduating senior class for one final lap through their middle school. It was truly a community building event and one that brought smiles all around the school from our Alumni to our own staff. We even had some families of our Alumni present to witness the event. This Senior Clap Out helped provide us with a practice walk through for our 8th grade clap out on the last day of school.
Yearbook Release & Faculty Student Basketball Game
On Tuesday, June 13 William Penn held its 2nd Annual Yearbook Release and Faculty Student Basketball Game. This event pitted some of our staff members against William Penn’s own student team made up of 8th grade students and many members of our Boys and Girls Championship Basketball teams. The student team proved too much to handle for our faculty team as they hit nothing but the bottom of the net on their way to an impressive victory and fun for all. There were a few staff members still in recovery a few days after the event! Great job to all and especially Mr. Cassidy and our Yearbook Committee who helped to plan, organize, and execute both our yearbook distribution and the Faculty vs Student Basketball Game.
