Principal's Message
Thank you!
I want to send a huge thank you to our Maintenance and Operations Department. As many of you know, the rain from Saturday caused quite the mudslide on our front hill. Our maintenance team worked swiftly to ensure safety and to remedy the issue and helped with traffic duty! An outside team was called in and worked into the evening yesterday and all day today to get everything taken care of. A huge thank you to everyone that worked to take care of that.
WCSD Music Program Adds Ukuleles
The Walnut Creek School District is fortunate to have a robust WCEF supported elementary music program offering weekly lessons to all students in Transitional Kindergarten through fifth grade delivered by credentialed music teachers. Beginning in February, the program will be enhanced with a new ukulele unit for all General Music students in grades 4 and 5. This ukulele unit is made possible through the generous support of the Rossmoor Ukulele Club who developed a GoFundMe account to provide ukuleles for our students’ use. The club is composed of 120 senior citizens who have a passion for the ukulele and desire to share this joy with our students. Their contribution is so heartwarming that it caught the attention of the San Francisco Chronicle who published an article about their campaign. The Rossmoor Ukulele Club is scheduled to be recognized for their gift at the January 9th WCSD Governing Board Meeting. Thank you Rossmoor!
Happy New Year!

Notes From The Office
Happy New Year! Hope you all had a fun and restful winter break.
As we start the new year, please be reminded that it is important that we have the most up-to-date information on file for your child in case we need to contact you for an injury, illness or other emergency. If you have moved (residency verification required), changed phone numbers, place of employment, physicians, etc., please make sure you notify the office. Also, please make sure your emergency contacts are up to date and that we have the names of all persons who are allowed to pick up your child. As a reminder, parents or anyone picking up a student will need to show ID when signing them out.
Thank you,
Mrs. Kaye
