We have been very lucky to have the German exchange students here this week. They have built connections with our students and brought a positive atmosphere with them. Wir haben Ihre Gesellschaft genossen!
JumpRope log in information was emailed home today as well as two different guides to help you understand JumpRope. Next Friday is the first grade update where all teachers will have grades in JumpRope for each class. Then it will be every two weeks. You should expect communication from teachers throughout the semester and one of the ways they do that is by updating JumpRope. If you have any questions please reach out to the specific teachers first and if you still need support then you can contact Jody Chamberlin.
The Interim Bus Route Plan was emailed out by the Supervisory Union this week. Please look it over as it affects all bus routes. This email was titled: Bus Update, Superintendent Family Meeting Times and was sent by Sheila Soule.
Some events that are coming up in the next few weeks are:
- All classes will have updated grades by Friday September 29th
- September is National Preparedness Month so we will practice two drills next week after students learn about them in morning meeting.
- Early Release Day - 10/4/23
- Indigenous People Day/No School - 10/9/23
- FAMILY Safety Meeting (virtual) 10/11 6:30-7:30

School Spotlights
Congratulations to Elizabeth Bennett for being this week's Student of the Week in the Addison Independent!
Peace One Day was celebrated on its annual day of September 21st. The Full Send students worked with Becky Ebel and Emily Rossier to throw a successful afternoon of activities and school community time. The entire school ate together outside in one of the few days of fantastic weather we have had over the last few months. There were many choices of activities during lunch from lawn games, to facepaint, to poster creation, to creating Fleece Dog blankets, to building legos. Then we had a school-wide assembly where two students emceed our afternoon school-wide assembly where Lee Shorey, Esther Charlestin, and VUMHS Community Performances took place. Then the students had many opportunities to engage in basketball, The Day After Peace short film, soccer, float building for Homecoming, and a creation station. It was a wonderful day full of positive interactions between peers and an overall theme of Peace!
VUMHS Community Performances - band, chorus, songs, German students, poetry, and a special dance performance
Esther Charlestin, was our guest Sseaker for the 2023 Peace One Day Celebration
Peace around the world is demonstrated by the students, staff, faculty, and guests.
