Does my child need immunizations before school enrollment?
All children of school age in California are required by state law to have a health examination before starting school. This check-up includes a physical examination and a record of recent vaccinations.
A Report of Health Examination for School Entry form, which needs to be filled out and given to the school as part of the enrollment procedure, can be obtained from the district.
To find out if your child has all the vaccines required to be accepted to school, make an appointment for your child’s health exam and provide a copy of the Report of Health Examination for School Entry for the health examiner to complete.
What do I need in order to register and enroll my child in school?
Typically, to enroll your child in a new school, parents will need to provide a proof of physical address, some form of identification for the child (like a birth certificate), proof of legal guardianship, the student’s shot records, health exam records, and previous school records.
100th Day Celebration - February 7th
We made it to the 100th day of School
La Primaria school found a fun way to celebrate the 100th day of class. For the 100th day celebration we would love for all the students to come dressed as 100 year olds.
The 100th Day of school is a memorable time in many classrooms. Teachers and students eagerly count down to the 100th day, and then we hold a big celebration by dressing as 100 year olds. The hundredth day marks the past-halfway-point of the school year.
Last year parents were so creative in dressing their students. One year a parent even made their child a walker. I’ve also had a student who had nose and ear hair plugs when dressing as a little old man! We will be taking photos for our yearly school yearbook. Students will have a small parade to show off our 100 year olds!
