If your child rides the bus home from our morning session, drop off at your home or child care will be 25 minutes early.

If your child rides the bus to school for our afternoon session, pick up will be 25 minutes early from your home or child care and the bus at the end of the day from Fox Ridge will drop off 50 minutes earlier.

For students who were absent on Picture Day (Sep 21), started school after Picture day, and retakes.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are held between 8 am and 8 pm on Thursday, October 5, and 8 am and 12 pm on Friday, October 6. Scheduling is completed through Home Access Center (HAC) with an online scheduling system- Pick-A-Time (directions attached). Parent/Teacher Conferences allow teachers and parents/guardians to collaborate on a child's behalf in order to maximize growth and learning. All children in attendance on Thursday, September 21, had their pictures taken. Color Portraits will provide proofs for each student that did not order pictures with instructions on how to order the pictures if you wish.

Retakes (October 27) are for:

• New students
• Students who were absent on September 21
• Retakes

• If you ordered pictures and would like a retake please send in the original package with your child on October 27 and notify your child's teacher so we are sure to get their picture taken that day.

District 303 is pleased to present its lineup of Parent Education sessions for the 2023-2024 school year.

The Parent Education series (formerly Parent University) includes informational meetings and workshops intended to empower parents and guardians to support their children’s academic, social and emotional needs. Become informed on specialized topics, engage in two-way dialogue with speakers and fellow parents, and become a support resource for others.

Sessions for this school year will focus on bullying prevention, addressing anxiety, and include film screenings and discussions about the impact of screen time and cultural awareness. The schedule also includes college preparation workshops hosted by our high schools. Sessions were selected based in part on feedback from District 303 parents.

Our parking lot gets a lot of use throughout the day with many cars and buses entering and leaving at the same time. This can cause the potential for serious saftey hazard for children as well as those who are taking care of them. Please help us reduce the risk our Fox Ridge families and children face as they arrive and depart from school each day by:

• Using the crosswalk consistently- everyday and in all weather. This models safe crossing behavior for all of our students and helps keep everyone safe.
• Staying alert and minimizing distractions- please refrain from using your phone.
• Maintaining a safe, slow speed throughout the lot and waiting patiently before backing out
• Parking only in designated parking spots to unload or load (NO stopping to unload in the traffic lane)
• Follow the directions and requests from the crossing guard and other school staff members
• Keeping children close to you when in the parking lot to protect them from the dangers of moving vehicles

For the 10th year in a row, D303 is again partnering with Big Hearts of Fox Valley, which supports families in need during the holiday season. Big Hearts of Fox Valley Holiday Giving Program's purpose is to provide holiday gifts for D303 students and their younger siblings whose families face significant financial hardship. Through Big Hearts, members of the D303 community anonymously shop for wish list items. D303 social workers will review applicants.
