The SHARK Alert
Chatham Elementary School Family Update
June 9, 2022
Dear CES Families and Friends,
This week's SHARK Alert is coming to you on Thursday due to all the festivities and fun planned for Friday. A reminder that the Field Games After School Club for Friday, June 10th is canceled.
Tomorrow, Friday, June 10th is Field Day and we are so EXCITED!!!!
There will be three areas the students rotate between during the day. Field Games, Water Play, and the Carnival. The day ends with a school-wide tug of war, spraying by the Chatham Fire Department, and popsicles. Dismissal is at the normal time.
Some last-minute suggestions and reminders for a great Field Day:
- dress for the weather (t-shirts, shorts, sneakers)
- make sure to label t-shirts/sweatshirts (when kids get wet they may want to change into dryer clothing and we will also be providing Field Day t-shirts to all students)
- students will get wet! (a beach towel may be a good idea)
- closed-toe shoes are recommended - kids will be running all day!
- sunscreen should be applied at home
- baseball or sunhats are recommended
- lunch is available for all students and watermelon will be served at the Water Play station
- Field Day will end with popsicles for all participants
- Everyone should bring a GREAT attitude! Win or Lose, FUN is the name of the game!!
Field Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate all the hard work and success our students have had this year. It is a chance for us all to come together and have a day of laughter, exercise, and good cheer!
Get a good night's rest - tomorrow is going to be FIN-tastic!!!
