Coyote Connection
November 6, 2023
Hello Twin Oaks Elementary Community,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you're off to a great start this week. With the extra hour gained from Daylight Saving Time, our Coyotes came to school this morning ready and eager to learn.
Just a friendly reminder that this is a short week, as there will be no school this Friday in observance of Veteran's Day. We want to take this opportunity to honor and express our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country. It's a time to reflect on their sacrifices and contributions.
We have no doubt that our amazing students will work hard and make the most of the days they have this week. We appreciate your support in keeping them well-rested and prepared for school each and every day. Your involvement and dedication make a significant difference in their success.
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead. If you ever have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you and your children every step of the way.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Barragan-Su

Sheriff’s Office Tips: Talk to your students about situational awareness
With the new school year under way and many students walking or biking to school, and with Halloween around the corner, we wanted to remind you of the importance of situational awareness with some tips from our partners at the Sheriff's Office:
Always be alert to your surroundings and the people around you.
Do not be distracted by smartphones or electronic devices.
Go with a group; avoid walking or biking alone.
Don’t respond to conversation from strangers on the street; keep walking.
Keep these tips in mind in October, and all year long! Let’s stay safe, San Marcos!
