Want to enjoy the beautiful summer mornings and volunteer your time at Oakview’s gardens? Please consider signing up your family (one or all), scout troupe, or other community group to assist with summer garden maintenance. Oakview is blessed with wonderful teachers, staff and volunteers. Our PTA honored a handful of them at the recent Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast. Please join us in saluting these outstanding individuals:

*Business Partner of the Year, Mike and Abby Zafutto, Roto-Rooter *Principal of the Year, Terri Wheeler-Hawkins *Teacher of the Year, Kristi Haarsgaard, 5th grade *Support Staff Member of the Year, Joy McKinney, front-office receptionist *Volunteer of the Year, Dave Gorman. Based on our submission, Mr. Gorman also won South Carolina PTA Volunteer of the Year for elementary schools.

Congratulations to our wonderful honorees!

Plans are underway for this fun Oakview tradition! Each year our 5th graders celebrate the end of their elementary school career with a day full of fun. The homeroom classes will compete against each other in a talent show and outdoor games. They will come together to laugh, dance and remember all of the good times they have had at Oakview!
