Greetings Patriot Families,

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Ashlee Jackson, professional of the month, Ms. Thalia Alegria, and to our CREEK Life student selection, Senora Fabiola Machado! We have an incredible staff who cares for the whole child at Sandy Creek and those qualities help to create a Competitive Advantage for our students and staff members! This week will be another busy week at The Creek! SCHS students traveled to Clemson University over the weekend to compete in the Poetry Declamation, where level 3 Spanish student Noel Boyd won First Place! Our Fine Arts students produced an amazing performance this weekend of The Emperor's New Clothes and invited our feeder elementary and middle schools for a sneak preview on Thursday! Congratulations to Ms. Prayer and our Patriot Players! Our Patriot football team had a tough loss on the road on Friday against Cedar Grove but we continue to remain resilient! Our JV Cheerleaders made a visit to Burch Elementary last week to spread some feeder school love! Finally, our Lady Patriot Volleyball team won in three straight sets against Gordon-Lee. Please join us on Wednesday at home as our team rallies against Crisp County in the Elite 8 State Playoffs at 6pm! Our Lady Patriot Flag Football team will play at home on Friday at 6pm vs. East Coweta!

We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a competitive advantage!

Please be sure students who are car riders are dropped off and picked up in the student lot. No cars are allowed in the front parking lot during arrival and dismissal times due to bus traffic.

Student Parking passes are available all year for $60 and should be displayed in the bottom corner of the driver's side windshield.

Students in our gifted program went on a fieldtrip to watch Dracula at the Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse! How fun!

Last week students and faculty listened to Ms V present the life of Rachel Scott. Many of our student have accepted Rachel’s challenge to build a bridge of kindness and change our school and community. We are proud of our students! #creeklife #kindness

It’s Physics Friday @SCHS_Patriots! Students are evaluating how much applied force is required to move objects with a variety of surface structures.

Our WL students participated in the Clemson Poetry Declamation! They all did a great job!

Noelle Boyd, IB 1 Spanish student won 1st place for level 3 Spanish! She recited "Un Dia" by Alfonsina Storni and "La Calle" by Octavio Paz. Go Creek!

16 is sweet but 8 is GREAT!! Lady Patriots are moving on in the volleyball state playoffs! Come support our girls on Wednesday evening at home!

Our JV cheerleaders got up bright and early to open car doors for Burch Elem. students! I don't know who was more excited... the cheerleaders or the kids!

Patriot Player's one act play "The Emperor's New Clothes" was a great success! Our students are so talented!

Sandy Creek Wrestling Practice begins October 23, 2023, from 4:15 – 6:15 PM. Make sure you have an active, up-to-date PRIVIT account. See Coach Murphy or Coach Haywood for PRIVIT information.

The Math Lab, led by upper class student tutors, will open on 9/7/23.
It will be open to all students on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:50-4:20 pm and Friday during Study Hall in Room 226.

The 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program nomination window is open from September 1 to November 1. Any high school senior may complete the application, provided they meet all program qualifications outlined by the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The student informational brochure includes information on the application criteria and the two required essays. The application, program criteria, and informational brochure are on the Excellence Recognitions USPS webpage. Applications are due by November 1 at 5:00 p.m.

The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.

• Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
• Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
• After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
