- October 29 - $2 Dress Down and $5 Costume Donation day. Students can wear a Halloween costume (no masks please) or regular dress down clothes. Students who donated $15 at the beginning of the year can pay $3 and "level up" to a Halloween costume.

Calendar for 2022-2023 School Year - your input is needed to help us create a calendar for the upcoming school year that meets the needs of our families. Please check your email for a link to the survey.
As a charter school, we are a school of CHOICE. Parents have to CHOOSE to bring their kids here and then CHOOSE to keep them here. Bridge may not be the right choice for every student or every family. Our model is unique - that is the beauty of a charter school - we are able to do things that are not mainstream, for example, learning pods, personalized learning plans (PLPs), rotations, non-traditional seating, outdoor dining, full day kindergarten, morning supervision and after school BASE.
We KNOW you have lots of schools from which to choose, including your neighborhood schools and many charter schools in other cities. If your kids are here at Bridge we must be doing something right for your family otherwise you would pull your students take them somewhere else that better fits their needs. So, THANK YOU for having your kids at Bridge and entrusting us with their education.
Please keep reading the bulletin for important updates and information.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Birthday Celebrations and Other Parties
Bridge has very firm rules regarding treats in class, including treats provided for a child’s birthday. Classes are allowed two parties each year which can include edible treats. Teachers must complete the necessary paperwork to have a party approved and must communicate with families regarding the types of treats provided at the party. Parents must provide written permission for their child to partake of edible treats. Students may NOT bring treats or prizes to school for their birthday. Parents are encouraged to come to lunch on their child’s birthday and to celebrate with their child. However, parents may not bring food or other items into school for other children besides their own. The school will not participate in sending birthday invitations to classmates or by providing contact information for parents.
You can find the Family Handbook on our website at https://www.bridgecharter.org/policies-procedures or pick up a printed copy from the office.
Parking Lot Flow Change Coming Soon
To help us keep our families safe and encourage everyone to follow the proper parking lot flow, we will be placing cones in the parking ares at the south end of the parking lot. We are asking ALL staff to park in the southern spots leaving the remainder of the parking lot open to parents and visitors.
Once the cones are delivered we will begin coning off the area (shown below as an orange line) about 3:00 pm M-TH and 1:00 pm on Friday. Below you will find a picture of the changes.
Volunteer Hours and Donations
Once a family has 30 hours they are added to our Volunteer Pond in the front foyer of the school.

Visible Learning - INITIATIVE
INITIATIVE teaches students to "RECOGNIZE AND DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE I AM ASKED TO DO IT".
Practice these "I WILL" statements with your student:
- Do what is right BEFORE I am told.
- Not put off until later what I can do now.
- Do my part for the team.
- Be part of the solution rather than the problem.
- Look for ways to help others.
Our mission is to empower students to take ownership of their own learning. By learning, practicing and embracing these visible learning traits, students will have the skills needed to become accountable for their own lifelong learning. You can find the six Visible Learning traits on our website at Visible Learning
