TOYS FOR TOTS - WE SURPASSED OUR GOAL!
We collected 209 gifts for Toys for Tots. Thank you for your generosity. It is nice that we can help those who cannot afford toys for their children. Since we made our goal, Friday will be Pajama Day for the whole school!
SUPPORT OUR VETERANS
Troop 77 is collecting hats, socks, and mittens for our Veterans. There is a collection box at school. DOnations will be accepted through December.
RECYCLING INK CARTRIDGES
The Kindergarten and 1st grade Girl Scouts are doing a recycling project and want to recycle your empty printer ink cartridges. A collection box will be located inside Mulready Elementary School from December to March. Their goal is to keep 200 cartridges from decaying and leaking toxins in landfills, thank you for helping them with their goal.
FRIDAY SCIENTIST
Each week a student in Mrs. Calvanese''s classroom chooses an experiment. The student follows a format for a lab report and presents it to the class. The student then performs the experiment and discusses the results with the class.
In Mrs. Calvanese's class, a boy made slime for his experiment. He mixed confetti, glue, liquid starch, vanilla, and water. Then, he mixed it together and kneaded. The result: slime. This happened because mixing the liquids caused the molecules to combine making the liquid thick.
ABSENTEE LINE/TARDIES
Just a reminder - please be sure to call your child out when they will not be in school. (978) 567-6170. You can leave a message on the absentee line. Also, if your child enters the building late, after 8:35 am, he/she should have a parent with them to sign them in. Thank you!
LABEL LUNCH BOXES AND CLOTHING
Please label your child's belongings. That way we can be sure that the items get back to their owners.
Also, if your child is missing clothing or a backpack or lunchbox, feel free to stop by and check out our tables.
