All families will receive teacher placement emails on August 10th if they are compliant with registration fees and proof of residency paperwork. If you are still unsure of your child’s classroom placement after August 10th, please contact the Windsor office, at 847-398-4297.
The next email will give you information about school safety, and arrival and dismissal practices at Windsor, and then following that you will receive emails that will share information about Home School Communication, Breakfast and Lunch program, Absences/Tardies, PTA, ABC/25 Foundation, and the Wildcat Way Schoolwide Behavior System.

First Day Of School Arrival and Dismissal Info...
Grades 1-5 Arrival:
The first day of school arrival is different from the rest of the school year. The first day of school is a full day for children in grades 1-5. We will have staff members/teachers on the blacktop behind Windsor to welcome everyone back to school. (Parents can join their children.) Teachers/instructional teachers will have signs and their names will be on the walls so that you know where to find your child’s class, children should line up at their teacher's spot. We will be outside at 8:45 AM to greet everyone. If your child will be attending CAP (AHPD Before and After School Program), we will ensure that your child connects with their teacher. Lunch/recess will be from 12:10 PM-1:10 PM. Instructional families, If your child arrives in a taxi, teaching assistants will be out front to greet your child and bring them into their classroom.Grades 1-5 Dismissal:
Dismissal will look the same as it always does. For those new families, typical dismissal means that if you live east of the school, pick up is on Windsor Drive, if you live west of the school, pick your child up in front of the school's main entrance. If you live on the east side of the school but have a PM Kindergartener, pick up all children in front of the school's main entrance. You will need to make these arrangements with your child, please be sure to tell your child where to meet you for dismissal. Your child's teacher will not know which side of the building you live on or if they have a PM kindergarten sibling.
Kindergarten:
Morning Kindergarteners will join us on the blacktop at 8:45 AM. Their school day ends at 11:50 AM and students will be exited out of the Kindergarten classroom doors. Afternoon Kindergarteners arrive at 12:45 PM and will meet on the sidewalk outside of the classrooms (by the garden) to come into the school at 12:50 PM. Students will be dismissed at 3:35 PM through the main entrance doors of Windsor School. Kindergarten students will only be released once a parent is present. If you walk, please let a staff member with a walkie-talkie know you have arrived and they will call your child’s name to come out. If you drive, please follow the drop and go line, and have your placard, which you will receive on the first day of school, displayed in your car so that we can call for your child to come out.
