Dear Ones,

For nearly a month or four months for some (yes... it's been that long), we as a country, as a globe, as one shared species have faced unimaginable challenges. Loss, anguish, fear, solitude, long extended stay-cations to clean closets, tend gardens, gaze into our lover's eyes, educate our children at home and lead conference calls from the bedroom possibly... pants-less.

Our world as we know it has been tilted away from what was towards what will be next. Unknowns are all around.

And yet... nature is thriving. The bluest skies I've ever seen in my 46 years of life bedazzle my heart while bird's song of so many varieties are now paramount to what was deafening automotive and aviation roar.

Have we paused the Industrial Era as we knew it? Could this lead us to a Renaissance, one that's a more environmentally sustainable culture-- globally? Will we care for place, plant, animal and person with more deep and meaningful intent?

There are more curious questions than we all have answers for right now.

In this extraordinary pause, The Great Pause... and Great Churning we are asked to look within. I say-- we are made for moments like this. Not crafted for distraction, consumption and hate but for radical compassion-- radical creativity.

I invite you to come to the table with me and my sweetness, Greg Whitt of Drum for Change to hold a meaningful conversation and bare witness to one another. Together, let's hold the shared value to hold sacred space for all things good and difficult. This is life.

Dianne Connlley, one of my most cherished mentors and author of Medicine Words once said, "We are here now, we are here together and that won't always be so. What are the important conversations to have in the meantime?"

Let's kiss the cheeks of life ever so gently even if it makes us cry.

We are here for you. How are you doing? Let's check-in, share resources and ideas for moving through such profound change.

Join us for a comfy cozy virtual conversation at our home, fireside. We plan on hosting these weekly as long as they're needed. You tell us... are these conversations useful? Valuable? Comforting? What else do you need?

Annelies Gentile of Conduit for Change and Greg Whitt of Drum for Change invite you into our home for a community conversation around the kitchen table or fire side chat. Let's talk-- old school with a modern twist!

Pull up your computer or phone, grab a glass of wine, water, kombucha or cuppa joe and let's talk. In addition to supporting you along this wild new ride we all face together, tonight, there may be poetry, flute or guitar as we'll share with you what we do best-- helping people navigate change mindfully and creatively. Have something to contribute? Bring your sharing, imagination and feelings to the fire.

Let's remember our compassion, and your faith to re-imagine and actively participate in our new tomorrow. Together.

Reality is— everything is connected. We’re never truly “off” from anything else. Change is a constant that which we can plan for only so much. Self similar patterns repeat but never exactly the same. The beauty is— the unexpected twists and turns can provide us with new ideas we could never imagine before. Let's all take a breath, show up for one another and be a part of what’s next. Let's create useful ways to bridge gaps, solutions and solace in the presence of the unknown-- together.

With kindness, love and imagination.... Annelies and Greg ✨
