Westwood High School Graduation

The graduation ceremony for the class of 2022 will be held at 7:00 pm in the Westwood High School gymnasium. The doors will open at 6:00 pm. Sarah (Keranen) Henderson, class of 1995, will be this year's commencement speaker.

Westwood BPA Competes at Nationals in Dallas


Westwood’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) National competitors have brought home the hardware at the National Leadership Conference once again with ALL four students taking the stage, bringing in a total of seven top 10 awards, including a repeat National Championship for Jillian Koski in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures!


Kalle Keranen placed 2nd in Legal Office Procedures and 3rd in Advanced Word Processing, while Ally Poirier won a 2nd place award in Basic Office Systems and Procedures. Allyana Grochowski placed 7th in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures, and Jillian Koski also garnered two additional awards: 4th place in Legal Office Procedures and 5th in the Administrative Support Concepts contest.


The National Leadership Conference hosted over 5,000 competitors from all across our nation. Congratulations to these students who were amazing representatives for Michigan and Westwood High School in Dallas, Texas.


Our BPA Advisors are Ronalyn Arseneau and Sabina Villar.

WHS Forensic Students Compete at State Finals!

Westwood High School represented the UP well in the first in-person state tournament since 2019. We brought down one of the most talented, respectful, and amazing groups of students. When competing against more than 30 schools (many of which are private schools for the performing arts), we still stood tall. Here are the results

Scheduled Fire Drills in May

Westwood High School, along with all schools in Michigan, is required to hold several emergency drills throughout the school year. We have completed several of the requirements but still have three fire drills to complete before the end of the year. We will hold the drills on May 11, May 19, and May 24.
