Arrival and Dismissal Update and Procedures
ARRIVAL
All students walking to school or being dropped off by car should enter Wild Rose through Door #1 the front door. Students riding the bus are dropped off on the west side of the building and will enter door #15.Please only make a right turn into the front drive. You may need to drive past the entrance on the west side, turn around, or get in line to drop off. This is the safest and most efficient way for cars to proceed. If you are parking your car to drop your child off you may turn left into the parking lot. You also will need to walk your child across the cross walk to the front door. We do not allow students to be dropped off in the parking lot and cross the crosswalk on their own for safety. Parents must be with their child(ren). Please pull into a parking spot, otherwise you should park on the street and walk your child up to the door.
When dropping off by car, please pull as far into the front drive as possible. It allows for multiple cars to drop off at the same time. Stay in your vehicle and have your child exit the vehicle on the right side of the car. Other cars move in and out of the drive so it is necessary for students to exit their vehicles on the right side. Staff can assist if needed. Continue to work with your child to build independence buckling and unbuckling their seat belts, as well as opening and closing the car door. If you have the safety lock on, just pull up to staff to let them know you need assistance with opening the door.
DISMISSAL
Once again cars are to turn RIGHT ONLY into the parking lot. If you wish to physically walk with your child please park on the street and have your child exit with our walkers at door #22 on the east side.
Students that are being picked up by car will exit the front door. Bussers will exit door #15. Walkers will exit door 22 on the east side of the building.
Cars picking students up after school will drive as far forward into the front drive. Students enter cars on the right side of the vehicle. Please do not get out of your car to help your child. If your child needs help, there is staff outside on supervision to help assist. It is important to continue to pull forward to keep the flow of traffic moving.
Walkers will remain at door 22 until their parent is viewable by the staff for pick up. A handful of intermediate students have permission to walk home by themselves, however if that is the case please notify the school.
Walkers are always picked up on the east side of the building, as the west side has the buses moving in and out of the west drive way.
If a child is going home differently than what is normally designated, the family MUST send a note or email to the teacher or office with notification of the change. Thank YOU!

LABELING Student ITEMS
Families it is very important to label your students items with first initial and last name.
EXAMPLE : T. SOLOMON
Items to label:
- Lunch Boxes
- Water Bottles
- Boots
- Sneakers
- Coats
- Sweat Shirts
- Hats
- Gloves
- Sweaters
- Hoodies
- Glasses (eye wear)
Anything that your child might remove from their person or carry around the building is super helpful to label as things get left in any of their specials classes, the lunch room, outside or in the hall.
If items are labels we are easily able to identify who the item belongs to and return it.
HERE is a video should you need it. ALSO our PTO is also looking to share a label fundraiser with our families.
Thank you for your cooperation!
