MTSS Star Assessment
Central Bucks School District is committed to ensuring that each child makes significant academic progress. To do this, we have been implementing a research-based process to link academic support with specific student learning needs. This process is known as a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and provides all students with timely and targeted instruction based upon the results of various assessment tools in reading and mathematics.
More information for parents is available on the Renaissance website at Parent's Guide - Star Assessments | Renaissance. As in the past with our prior assessments, you will be notified if your child is in need of intervention or enrichment supports.
This year we will administer the Star Assessments between September 11th and September 22nd.
Groveland School Hours
School will begin after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 5th.
We will remain a "C" school, and our hours are 9:05AM - 3:45PM.
The morning kindergarten session hours are 9:05AM - 11:40AM. The afternoon kindergarten session hours are 1:10PM - 3:45PM.
Transportation Information
The Transportation tab in your Parent Portal Account will list your child(ren)'s bus number, as well as pick up/drop off times.
Your child may ride only the bus to which he/she has been assigned unless an Alternate Bus Stop Request has been approved. The Central Bucks Transportation Department may approve requests for childcare or shared custody situations. A form must be submitted every year.
Drop Off and Pick Up Car Riding Procedures
Pick Up: Car riders will receive a "pick up placard" on the first day of school that can be displayed in your car window. Write your child's last name and grade level(s) on the placard. Please be patient during the first week of school, as this may take our students a little longer to remember this routine.
For our students' safety, please drive slowly and do not talk/text on your cell phone. Thank you!
Early Pick Up: All early pick ups should happen before 3:15. Please enter through the main office where Mrs. Kerns and Mrs. Gale will contact your child's teacher.
Attendance Information
Families: Please read the very important attendance letter from the district.

Breakfast and Lunch Information
Breakfast continues to be free; lunch costs $2.60.
In September, ice cream and frozen treats will be available on Thursdays. These items cost $1.50. Money must be on the student's account in order to purchase snacks.

iPad & Laptop Technology Fee
All Central Bucks’ students will either receive a device this year or continue to use the device that was issued last year.
Steps to Complete (prior to the handout):
- All families in grades 3-12 should visit: https://www.cbsd.org/1to1.
- Parent/Guardian and Student will click on and read the 1:1 Handbook.
- Parent/Guardian signs the user agreement and pays the user fee via MyPaymentsPlus (MPP). Upon submitting the fee and MPP agreement, you are confirming that you have reviewed the information with your child.
The Fee Table:
- Kindergarten - 2nd grade: $0 (iPad that stays in school)
- 3rd - 6th grade: $15 (Lenovo Laptop)
Required Health Exams for New, 3rd, and 6th Grade Students
- Kindergarten and New students: Dental and Physical Exams
- Grades 3 and 7: Dental Exam
- Grades 6 and 11: Physical Exam
The dental and physical forms can be found HERE. The completed health forms are due to Mrs. Susan Fischer, our school nurse, no later than October 15, 2023. You can upload your completed exam forms to your child's Parent Portal account. Please keep a copy of the health forms for your records.
