A Note From Mr. Christ
Dear Paddock Families,
Happy Sunday everyone. This past week during recess, it was great to see all of our students having fun playing on our new playground piece. It was a much needed update and the students are loving it.
In addition to this playground piece, Kate Marrs, Paddock's literacy innovation teacher, has designed a "book walk" outside for our students. Along the blacktop path near the playground are signs where students can see the pages of a picture book and read along. The students have been loving this new activity and are regularly seen running from sign to sign. Thank you to Mrs. Marrs for her efforts to get this book walk created and to the Paddock Student Council for helping to choose the book and arrange the signs.

Plastic Recycling Program
Last year, we collected A LOT of plastic. This year, to make things even more interesting, Paddock will be competing with Gray M. Sanborn to see which school can collect the most plastic in pounds. The winner will not only have bragging rights, but also a trophy to display! We are hoping this will be a fun competition between the schools for years to come.
Please see the flyer for more information and examples of acceptable plastics that can be brought to the school and placed in these bins.
Student Registration 2023-2024
Online student registration for the 2023-2024 school year is open. Please visit the District registration page to start this process. All returning students MUST be registered by August 1, 2023, or they will be disenrolled from CCSD15. Students who have not completed their registration requirements will not receive a classroom assignment.
After you register your child online you need to:
- Pay student fees. Our student fee webpage provides more information on this.
- New families to the district, kindergarten students, families with a lease, and families that were flagged by our third-party residency verification system are required to provide proof of residency to complete the registration process. Our residency webpage outlines the documents you will need to provide to prove residency.
All three steps of the enrollment process (register, student fees, residency) must be completed prior to the start of the school year.

Fan-O-Gram For School Musical
A Fan-O-Gram is a small note card 3.5”x5” that will be given to the different cast members after
their performances. YOU fill out the card and WE distribute it. We encourage you to buy these
ASAP so that we can get them properly sorted for distribution after the show. You can use the templates shown on the next page or you can create your own. The Fan-O-Grams are: $1 each or 8 for $6. See the flyers for additional information and a cast list.
Musical Tickets On Sale!
We are happy to announce that tickets are now on sale for our first musical in over 4 years, Super Friends - A Musical Parody - On Stage! How did the Justice League really form? Come watch this hilarious parody of the creation of one of the most famous superhero teams.
When: Friday, April 14 @ 7:00pm and Saturday, April 15 @ 2:00pm
Cost: General admission ticket for a $5 donation. All proceeds go directly to the Paddock Arts Program.

PantherFest
Our family fun fair Panther Fest is back and needs some volunteer help! If you're interested in volunteering, please do via the SignUp Genius below. There are time slots as short as 30 minutes to make cotton candy, distribute wristbands, sell raffle tickets and MORE! Your help is greatly appreciated!
This event takes so many hands to make it work, but that is why it's one of our favorites!

Dental Visit Volunteers
Hello Panther Families! Paddock is holding a dental health clinic on April 24th. The PTA is looking for 2 parent volunteers to help in the morning. The job would be to pick students up and return them back to their classrooms after their dental cleaning is done. We need 1 volunteer from 8:30-10:00 and another volunteer from 10:00-11:30. Book Fair
We are pleased to announce that Paddock will host a spring book fair with Literati! Classroom previews will be April 27th and 28th and books will be for sale May 1-3 including during Open House the evening of May 3rd.

One-Five Foundation Walk/Run
Join the one-five Foundation for its first-ever Family Fun Run/Walk! The event will be on May 20 at Winston Campus Junior High (120 N. Babcock Drive Palatine) at 9 am. The Family Fun Run/Walk is open to anyone in our community. Profits from the Fun Run/Walk will go toward the one-five’s teacher mini-grant program. These grants can support a wide range of opportunities for the students of the District with a focus on programs or technology.
$5 for D15 students (including registered incoming students)
$15 for Adults and Non-D15 Students
Children ages 4 and under are free
