Principal's Message
Hello Springwater Students and Families,
The first 6-weeks ended last Friday. We are 1/3 of the way through 2nd semester. Time always feels like it speeds up this time of year: the end of the year will be here before we know it! Grades have been posted in Synergy/ParentVue/StudentVue. Please reach out to the office if you need help accessing progress grades online.
For students who are not passing 1 or more classes, please remember we have academic support Mondays - Thursdays after school. Students can take the activity bus home at 3:45pm. The district is in the process of finalizing the details of summer school for students who do not earn credit in required classes this year. We will be passing along this information as it becomes available. Summer school will be hosted at Gresham High and Sam Barlow High Schools. My hope is students can eliminate the need for summer school this semester by catching up on their classes and working closely with their teachers between now and the end of the school year. Hang in there!
The past two days have definitely felt like spring -- a wonderful change from the weather we have been experiencing the past several weeks. We have one more week before spring break. Spring Break runs from Monday, March 27th - Friday, March 31st. Students will return on Monday, April 3rd.
Enjoy the beautiful weather and please reach out with questions!

Springwater Attendance
If your son/daughter is going to be out for the day please call the office (503-261-4600) and let us know the reason why. Whenever the office is not notified of an absence, a call is made home via the automated calling system. If the student is going to be out more than three days, you can call the office or email your student's teachers with a request for homework. If your student is going to be out of school for extended period of time due to a vacation or some other event, please have him/her complete a Pre-arranged Absence Form. If your student needs to leave school early or arrive late due to appointments, please call the office or send a note to excuse their absence.
Electronic Flyers
Gresham-Barlow Distict has launched a new electronic flyer tool called “Peachjar.” This service allows us to “go green” and will ensure that every flier is delivered to each household. Peachjar will provide flyers directly to your computer, tablet or mobile device.
