Yearbook - discounted books available for $50

If you pre-ordered a yearbook, those are not defective and can still be picked up anytime between 8:30-4:30 in room 2414, phase 4. If you have questions please email to stephen.teague@fayar.net

It’s Decision Time
- If you have not decided where to attend school, the time is quickly approaching where you will need to make that decision, send in deposits and sign up for an orientation date. Because of the FAFSA snafus that have occurred this year, some colleges are pushing their decision date back from the typical May 1 deadline to May 15 or even June 1. You will need to check with your individual schools to see if they have changed their decision deadline. If you are having trouble deciding where to attend, check out this helpful guide from the College Essay Guy’s blog.
Understanding Financial Award Letters
- This link to College Essay Guy’s How to Understand Your Financial-aid Award Letters is a great way to help you compare financial aid packages from multiple schools. You can follow his guidance to make sure you make the right decision for you and your family. If you have been accepted to a school but the financial aid package isn’t what you had hoped it would be you can read through his Appealing Financial Aid guide to plan your appeal letter.

Updated: 1/31/24 - ALLPS NEW BELL SCHEDULE - BEGINS FEB 5TH
Dear FHS Families,
Good evening. This email contains important information concerning the change in our school calendar, change in daily bell schedule, and provides a way to communicate with the school if the change in bell schedule creates a hardship for your family.
On February 5, 2024, ALLPS will begin a new bell schedule. The schedule reflects an additional 35 minutes of instruction to allow for the seven snow days to be made-up and for the end of school to remain as May 24, 2024.
Every attempt has been made to have the new bell schedule be very similar to the current bell schedule. However, with 35 additional minutes being added to the day, there are some changes. If this new schedule causes a hardship for your student or family, please contact your student’s advisor or the school administration for flexibility on your child’s attendance.
The bell schedule is displayed below and can be found on ALLPS website and at this link:ALLPS new bell schedule. If you have any questions, please contact the school’s administration.
Thank you,
Dr. Denise Hoy
