J.C. Magill's Parent Newsletter -December 2022
Happy Holidays from our Family to Yours!
A Message From Our Principal, Dr. Merisme
We live in a world surrounded by technology. Whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works. The South Gwinnett Cluster wants our students to have every opportunity to excel in technology, and we are committed to teaching them foundational 21st-century computer skills.
South Gwinnett Cluster students in grades 3-12 are invited to join in on the largest learning event in history: The Comet Cluster CODE JAM! This event is part of The Worldwide Hour of Code Event held during Computer Science Education Week. More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code. During the Comet Cluster CODE JAM, students will have the opportunity to participate in fun computer science coding activities. Our event will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at South Gwinnett High School.
This is a chance to change the future of education in South Gwinnett Cluster Schools! See our 2021 Code Jam video!

Please remind students that cell phones are not to be used during the school day. They must be turned off and stored in backpacks so they are not a disruption to the learning environment. If they become a disruption, family members will have to pick up confiscated phones from the main office.
