Hello Parents!

We are already halfway through Quarter 1 and Progress Reports will go home on Friday, September 22. Please review your student's academic progress, and reach out to your team of teachers should you have any questions. Teachers, counselors and grade level administrators are happy to help schedule conferences and meetings so that all work together in partnerships to help your student SOAR!

Falcons, last week Sullivan and Cherry Park Elementary met with Safety and Security along with South Carolina Department of Transportation to discuss and plan traffic calming measures around the schools. Plans include a pedestrian walkway, repainting of crosswalks, and increased school signage. As a reminder and safety precaution, please utilize the car rider line when bringing your student to school by vehicle and refrain from dropping students along the roadways.

Since safety is Sullivan Middle School's first priority, we have been conducting our drills as required. Thus far, we have held two fire drills, and we will have a lockdown drill in the near future. Once a month, Sullivan Middle will conduct a random safety screening of two classrooms. We will notify you should your child's classroom be randomly selected. Volunteers Wanted!

Parents, we would love to have you volunteering on campus. There are opportunities available including: athletics, helping with testing, assisting with field trips, helping make copies or organizing the clothes closet. You can join our PTO, as well! Reading Competition

Falcons, who can read the most books and log them into the Launchpad SLMS Reading Log application? Teachers, or students? Currently, teachers are winning with 7th grade in 2nd place. We will celebrate the leading winners each quarter!

8th DC Trip Meeting

On Thursday, September 28th, we will have an informational meeting about our 8th grade trip to Washington, DC. We will meet in the Sullivan Auditorium from 6 to 7pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
