Dear Parents,
I hope this newsletter finds you well and that you are enjoying what is left of autumn (it's starting to get colder!). It's hard to believe how quickly time flies! As we dive into another school term, I wanted to share with you the great experiences our year four students recently had during their memorable city camp.
This week, our enthusiastic young explorers embarked on an adventure into the heart of the bustling city of Melbourne. It was great to see students discovering its vibrant culture whilst checking out the sights and sounds of the city! The camp itinerary was jam-packed, and our students had the opportunity to visit some of Melbourne's most iconic and educational landmarks.
Their first stop was Scienceworks, a place where curiosity knows no bounds. Through hands-on and interactive displays, our students were immersed in scientific discovery. From gazing at the night sky at the planetarium to unravelling the workings of the human body, they eagerly embraced the joy of learning while having a lot of fun. We also got to experience the thrill of hanging hundreds of meters above the city at the edge of the Eureka Skydeck, some of our kids also got to witness a real proposal!
Next, they journeyed to Melbourne Aquarium, where they delved into the underwater world. Surrounded by vibrant marine life and various exhibits, our students experienced firsthand the wonders of the deep sea. The kids loved the penguins, Jellyfish, and sharks and hopefully came away with a newfound appreciation for our precious oceans.
The adventure didn't stop there! Our young adventurers then found themselves in the hallowed grounds of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), where they witnessed the passion and dedication that sport can inspire. Standing on the same turf where legends have battled, they were reminded that dreams could come true with hard work and perseverance.
A night session at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Center allowed the kids to have fun swimming and expel any excess energy they had!
The Melbourne Museum and Imax cinema was the primary activity on the final day of the camp, and all reports have been positive about the learning the kids could do while there!
We hope that these city experiences have left positive memories in our student's minds. It certainly was a massive three days! I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the dedicated teachers and staff who organised the camp. Their commitment to providing our students with such enriching opportunities is truly commendable.
We value the experience that our camp program provides. Our camps aim to assist our student's growth and development by exposing them to a variety of experiences of the world around them. We want to empower our kids to become lifelong learners, eager to explore, discover, and make a positive impact on the world. Giving them rich experiences on camp helps us achieve this!
Thank you for your ongoing support, as always if anyone would like to reach out please do!
