Students of the Month October (Gratitude)
Our Character Strong focus for October was GRATITUDE! The following students were chosen as students going above and beyond this month demonstrating our Character Strong focus. We have also had several students recognized during our morning announcements for this trait as well. We are proud of our tigers.

TJES Family Night
We will have our first family night of the 2023 school year on Wednesday, November 15th from 6:00-7:00. Our event is going to be a family game night. Please RSVP if your family is going to attend.
Annual Child Abduction and Child Abuse Lessons
All public schools in Indiana are required to provide age appropriate instruction on child abuse
and child sexual abuse to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. It’s important that
children hear the foundations of safety in these areas both at school and at home. If you have
any questions or concerns regarding the delivery of these lessons, please contact your child’s
school.
Project Energy Coming to TJ
This month we will host the National Theatre for CHildren's Project Energy play for all TJ students. Students will learn how to save energy. Each student will receive activity books in addition the play.

🥦Fruit & Vegetable Program 🍎
Two Times a Week
The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is a federally assisted program providing free fresh fruits and vegetables to students in participating elementary schools during the school day. The goal of FFVP is to introduce new and different varieties and to increase overall acceptance and consumption of fresh, unprocessed produce among children. FFVP also encourages healthier school environments by promoting nutrition education.

Birthdays🤗
Per the GCCS handbook;
Students will be recognized on the daily announcements and will receive a pencil from the office to acknowledge their special day. Please refrain from having flowers, balloons, etc.delivered to school. If you are sending in a birthday treat you will need to approve this with the teacher prior. Only healthy snacks are allowed per our GCCS Wellness Policy. Please ask the office if you have any questions.
No Birthday invitations are allowed to be distributed at school.
GCCS Messages
Greater Clark County Schools and TJES utilizes School Messenger, a quick alert messaging
service that is being utilized to communicate COVID-19, weather related closures/delays,
emergencies, and general communications such as important school announcements or
