Mid-January Newsletter

As we continue our descent into Ohio’s winter weather season, we want to remind you of our calamity day procedures. When there is threatening weather, it is our goal to make a decision by 6am. If it is determined that school must be cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions, we will relay this information to you through email, all-call, text messages, and through local news stations. The information will also be posted on our website as well as our Facebook and Twitter profiles.
Early Education Intervention Parent Night
As a result of the frigid temperatures, we had to cancel the original date of the Early Education Intervention and Preschool parent night; however, it has been rescheduled and will take place on January 24 at 6:30pm in the KES cafeteria.
The goal of the evening is to connect families of young children with early literacy and numeracy resources to help build the foundation our kindergarten students come in with! All interested parties are welcome to attend! Our presenters included Chelsea Freeman, Executive Director of Lorain County’s Children & Families First Council, Kate Cunningham, Parent Liaison, and Nikki Campbell, Keystone’s Director of Pupil Services.

How Do I Use FinalForms?
Keystone Schools has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service.
FinalForms allows parents/guardians to complete and sign Emergency Medical forms, Demographic forms, Athletic forms, and more for students. FinalForms also saves data from year to year and season to season, meaning there is no need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for all students in one family, which saves parents time!
Learn more and view Q & A's @ https://www.keystonelocalschools.org/about/finalforms.
*PLEASE NOTE:
Current students already have accounts; this was verified in an email you received. If you DO NOT see this email or have questions, contact your child's school secretary.

Fun & Free Family Science Night - All Ages Welcome!
Talent or No Talent - All Are Welcome!
Our choir department is gearing up for our annual LIP SYNC BATTLE! Not only will our students get the chance to strut their skills on stage, but we have a PARENTS AND FACULTY CATEGORY! Costumes, choreography, and props are highly encouraged. No talent is required. :)
The Lip Sync Battle is Thursday, February 22 at 6pm at Keystone High School. We will have categories for middle school, high school, and parents/faculty. This is open to the whole school- you do not need to be in choir to compete! Winners in each category will receive a prize! The audience will also vote for their favorite act. Performers must pay a $5 entry fee per person (so a group of 4 would pay $20 total). We will charge $2 admission at the door for spectators.
Performer registration forms are available from Mrs. Pearce and are due February 7.
