A MESSAGE FROM DR. HARRISON
Hello Legacy Families!
It was another great week here at LMA!
You may have noticed on campus on through our social media that it is DINO DASH TIME! If you are new to Legacy, we LOVE the Dinosaur Dash, and take great pride in being the highest participating secondary school three years in a row. We need your help to keep that title running for the 4th year! Sign up using the button below, and we will see you at the Dash!
We appreciate your ongoing support of Legacy Magnet Academy and look forward to a wonderful year as we partner together to deliver the best program to our students!
Thank you!

Nathan Hong Recognized for Service to the Community
Throughout the past year, Nathan worked with several philanthropies including Miracles for Kids, Ronald Mcdonald House, Operation Warm Wishes and Rising Above Disabilities (RAD). In his first year of joining, Nathan served 140+ hours and received several awards in recognition of his exemplary commitment and compassion to the community. He was awarded with the:
- Admiral Award for serving 110+ hours to the Community, and also the
- Anchor Award - which is served to the young man who served the most philanthropic hours in the organization.
In recognition of serving 100+ hours to the community, Nathan was also awarded the Presidential Gold Volunteer Service Medal Award in the teen category.
What is the President's Volunteer Service Medal Award:
"In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.
The PVSA has continued under each administration, honoring the volunteers who are using their time and talents to solve some of the toughest challenges facing our nation."
Congratulations Nathan! Way to represent Legacy and demonstrate RISE in our community!
