Dear families,
Can you believe the 100th Day of School has arrived? This Wednesday, we will celebrate our little bison and their hard work over these last 100 Days. Our bison work daily to improve math and reading skills, regulate their emotions, and collaborate with their peers. It is a team effort to grow our bison and I’m grateful for our Rosemont teachers, staff, and families for working together. One of our goals is to instill a growth mindset in our little bison. A growth mindset is the idea that through hard work and dedication, we can all improve. We encourage you to join us in celebrating this milestone by reviewing the growth our bison have made so far this year and to cheer them on for the growth they will make as we continue this year. Thank you for collaborating with us to help our bison succeed!
Ms. Munves, Upper Campus (4 - 8)
This week, I have some exciting news to share for our Upper campus. Children at Risk is an organization that ranks public schools in Texas every year. Last week, the 2023 rankings were announced. I'm so proud to share that the collective effort of our students, staff, and community has earned Rosemont Upper a top rank of #35 in our state and #17 in our region! Additionally, Rosemont Upper earned a Gold Ribbon which is awarded to campuses with populations of over 75% low SES and high student achievement. You can read more about building gold ribbon schools here.
I want to also recognize the outstanding work occurring across Dallas ISD. 7 out of the top 10 achieving middle schools represent Dallas ISD and 2 out of the top 10 achieving elementary schools represent Dallas ISD. Our district is home to one of the few high school gold ribbon campuses in our state. You can watch the press release that honors this work (and recognizes Upper as Gold Ribbon!) here.
I am proud to celebrate the expertise from our staff, the effort from our students, and the support from our community that has led to this accolade for our campus. By focusing on our motto every student, every day, we push the vision and mission of Dallas ISD forward and propel our district closer to equity and excellence for all students.
