AUTISTIC EVERYDAY
Join us for a book study!
Daisy Montgomery is a Pokemon appreciator, serial cat petter, and lover of a good cheesecake. After 13 years in the tech industry, Daisy decided to follow her passion: educating on the humanity beyond autism through her company, Autistics Anonymous. Daisy believes autistics are inherently valuable and capable of greatness if given the chance.
This course is a book study on the book, Autistic Everyday, written by Daisy Montgomery, a PSD parent, an advocate and a speaker. We will meet for four 1-hour sessions to discuss the book and how we can be stronger allies for our autistic community.
I hope you will consider joining us. If you do, please complete the sign-up link below and purchase the book to read Chapters 1 & 2.

Parking and Picking Up at Dunn
As we hire additional staff, we find our parking spots limited at Dunn. If you are coming to volunteer or to drop off your child, please try to park in the 2-hour street parking on Washington, rather than in the lot. Our paraprofessional staff members who begin work at arrival time do not have a spot to park for the day otherwise. Thank you!
Dunn's First School Dance!
We are so excited that our PTO has been planning Dunn's first schoolwide dance! I hope to see you there - please review the expectations for this fun event with your children.
- This is a FRIENDS and FAMILY dance. Students should not have a "date" for this event. Dances are way more fun with our friends, anyway!
- Parents are encouraged to attend and siblings are welcome to join.
- Enter and exit through the front doors of Dunn only for safety reasons.
- Each student who attends should arrive WITH an adult. Adults need to stay during the dance to supervise the children they bring. (Adults can bring children from other families.)
- We will review dance expectations that evening (no running/chase or roughhousing).
Name a City Snowplow!
The City of Fort Collins is inviting all elementary schools within the Fort Collins city limits to assist in naming four of the City’s snowplows! The City of Fort Collins challenged each elementary classroom within the city's boundary to come up with three names to name a snowplow. The final three names in each classroom will be submitted by your teacher. This is a great opportunity to be creative and brainstorm with your students! Every elementary classroom within your school is encouraged to participate! If you and your student come up with a name, please have them give that to their teacher.
