March Edition
Conference Week in March
Scheduling for conferences will begin on March 6th for families with multiple children at LP Brown and March 9th for all families. The scheduling window will close March 17th. Scheduling your conference happens online through Skyward Family Access. Now is a good time to ensure you have access to Skyward and you know your password. On Wednesday, March 29th, there will be evening conference options available.
As we get closer to conference week, you will receive reminders about the process of online scheduling. Our goal is to conference with 100% of our families!
School days during conference week are half days, with a grab-and-go lunch that students can bring home with them.
Our school time on those 5 days will go from 8:00am - 11:05am
If you need help getting into Family Access through Skyward or resetting your password, please call the office (360-596-6800). Beth or Miriam are happy to help.
STEAM Night coming!
Please email nwoodhouse@osd.wednet.edu for more information.

Eagles Got Talent
Eagles Got Talent!
On the evening of March 7th, at 6pm, all families are invited to attend an evening performance of all acts in the talent show! Mark your calendars, and we will see you on March 7th!
Panorama Survey Window: 3/16 - 3/31
Coming in March is our Panorama Survey. This is an anonymous survey. Families will be emailed a link, and students will be able to take the survey at school. Please take time to complete this survey when you receive the link. The information gathered from the survey helps us understand how well our students are gaining a sense of belonging in our school community. The survey will be open March 16th- March 31st.

Education Support Professional Appreciation
Educational Support Professional Appreciation Week March 13th - 17th
Just a quick public shout out to our AMAZING support personnel. This includes anyone who is not a certificated teacher in our building. Our support professionals are essential to ensure smooth daily operations. We would not be able to run our school without them. I am so grateful for their dedication and support of our wonderful students.
Olympia Junior Programs
We are so excited to be able to send our students to the Washington Center for Performing Arts to see a live stage performance. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn what it’s like to be in a live performance and how to participate. Our 4th & 5th graders will attend on March 7th. Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders will attend on April 25th.
Spring Break Dates
Spring Break is April 3rd-7th. School will resume Monday, April 10th.
Special Message from Olympia Schools Supportive Education Council
Do you have a student receiving support through an IEP or 504 plan? Please join the Olympia Schools Supportive Education Council (OSSEC) on the third Wednesday of the month throughout the school year for resources, community building, and a welcoming space to share ideas!
OSSEC is similar to a PTA/PTO for families, students, and staff supporting OSD students with disabilities from birth through post-high school, but without any fundraising or volunteering requirements usually associated with a PTO. We have planned a mix of social events and informative meetings!
Our next event is a sensory-friendly showing of The Land Before Time on March 15th 6-7:30pm at Olympia Regional Learning Academy (ORLA). Snacks and alternative activities will be provided. All ages welcome, including siblings! Parents/caregivers MUST remain for the duration of the event; separate childcare will not be provided! Please email olyssec@gmail.com with any questions, follow us on Facebook, and join our email list here to get monthly meeting reminders and zoom links.
Mark your calendars for future events with OSSEC:
April 19th - Zoom presentation on transitions from Birth-3 through post-high school
May 17th - Community resource panel at ORLA (childcare provided)
June 7th (1st Wednesday) - Parent coaching session with Emily McMason
