For the past 3 years we have changed how students participate in the walk-a-thon.

Reasons why:

• 1. It is safer to keep the students on school property
• 2. It allows for breaks during MAPS for Growth testing
• 3. Our PTO just completed a huge Boosterthon fundraiser
• 4. In the past families decided to pay the minimum walk-a-thon fee rather than collecting pledges
• It is now budgeted with your regular tuition payment

Number of laps for each class completes around the perimeter of our school yard:

• Preschool - kindergarten: 4 laps
• Grades 1 - 3: 16 laps
• Grades 4 & 5: 24 laps
• Middle school: 36 laps

Some parents don't order early because they are concerned that their student will change sizes before school starts. It is important to realize that sizes can be exchanged if necessary. It is actually easier to exchange sizes than it is to pack up a new order. In fact, it is about 5 times quicker. But more importantly, while both parents get accurate sizes, the parent who ordered early paid less.

Your layaway order locks in the 20% discount and sizes can be adjusted if necessary during the delivery process. There is also no penalty for cancellations.
