Members of the ICTM Board will share a variety of technological tools that will increase your effectiveness as a teacher of mathematics. Whether you’re teaching online, face-to-face, or in a hybrid setting, these tools will provide opportunities for you to build your confidence with technology. There will be time for attendees to exchange their expertise; so feel free to bring your own ideas as well!

Strategies to Engage Students and Families in Learning Mathematics
Time: 7-8 PM

Teachers of all students, particularly underrepresented students, need to be well versed in a variety of instructional strategies that teach concepts and skills at appropriate grade levels, are suitable to overcome any language barriers, relate to the Indiana Process Standards for Mathematics, and lend themselves to family participation. The webinar will focus on five activities for Grades 1 - 5 involving number sense and operations, geometric shapes, and algebraic reasoning.

FREE TI-84+CE APP FOR CHROME OS
The TI-84 Plus CE Chromebook App extends the use of TI’s trusted, familiar handheld calculator to help teachers teach and students learn and understand math.
The app emulates the TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator on a Chromebook and is designed to assist students learning remotely.
The app is available for download through July 15, 2021 to support schools in need at no charge.
On the distance learning web page (http://education.ti.com/distancelearning ), there is a form for teachers (or students who own their own Chromebook) to request the Chrome app for their schools or device. Once submitted, the form will be sent to the Ohio Education Technology Consultant, Michelle Grooms (mgrooms@ti.com) who can help facilitate the request.
