A Note from Mrs. Goldsworthy
Dear CSSE Families,
An update from PCTC! The first round of Parental Choice Tax Credit checks should be mailed to schools soon, and additional rounds are anticipated to be released weekly afterward. As soon as CSSE receives your check, we will contact you to come to campus for endorsement, and then we will post it to your FACTS account. Please watch for an email from CSSE to know when your family's check has been received at the school.
Please do not contact the school office regarding PCTC - this is the extent of our current information. We will share what we know when we can!
Faith Forward,
Mrs. Goldsworthy
Gala Update!
Our raffle ticket sales alone raised just under $23,000 ($5,000 of which went to our raffle winner, school parent alum Dolly Thomas, sold by Hunter McKee). The students that sold the most raffle tickets were Jack Taylor, Ashlyn Ward, and Charlotte Sampson.... The class that sold the most tickets was Mrs. Taylor's Kindergarten! Congratulations on your fundraising efforts!
Re-Enrollment for Current & New Students
The 2024-25 Re-Enrollment for 2024-25 email went out on Feb. 1 with the link for current student re-enrollment Please complete by February 15th for the early bird registration fee. Mrs. Goldsworthy’s tuition letter and info packet will go out next week. The 2024-25 enrollment form link for accepted siblings and new students will follow soon.
Get Your SALT Shirt Orders In!
If you have a blue SALT shirt, now is a good time to locate it and see if it fits, then place an order if needed! The SALT team will be collecting gently used shirts to redistribute. Please label in a gallon bag with your student’s name and place in the SALT bin across from where Ms. Patrick greets people.
Volunteer Opportunity
We have a couple of slots open for a lunch duty volunteer! Please check your schedule and sign up if you can help.
Purchase Your 23-24 Yearbook!
The 2023-24 yearbook is in development by our MS Yearbook Elective Class! We are excited to capture this year's memories! Each copy is a beautifully bound, full color hardback book. There will be at least 50 full color pages! Please complete the yearbook form for EACH COPY you wish to order. Yearbooks are $25 each. Orders will be billed through your FACTS account in March, or cash/check due to the school office by the end of March. Yearbooks will be distributed the last week of school.
News on Repeat
Soccer Sign Up - It’s time to sign up for CGSAA Soccer! Girls and boys in Kindergarten through 8th grade may participate in co-ed teams. We also need coaches at all grade levels with Safe Environment approval and PLACT training. Sign up deadline is March 1st. https://bit.ly/csse24soccer
CGSAA Track Meet Sign Up - Our track coordinator will be starting up practices for the CGSAA meet soon! Sign up your 1st-8th grade student and see details at the track sign up link!
School Mass Weekly Collection - Please encourage your child to bring change or a couple of dollars as a way of practicing charity. Let them give their own money if they have it! This is a great opportunity to teach your child about budgeting and tithing since many of us now use Faith Direct instead of putting cash and envelopes directly in the basket.
Eagle Excellence!
Several of our Academic Team students opted to participate in an OAAC Tournament of Champions qualifier last weekend. Connor Yamamoto placed 2nd and Teddy Hattaway placed 3rd for all 6th grade competitors for Science. Connor placed 3rd and Teddy placed 8th in Social Studies. Connor placed 3rd and Teddy placed 6th in Current Events. Maddie de Keratry placed in the top half of all 7th grade competitors for Current Events and Language Arts. Finishers in the Top 5 will go to the State Tournament of Champions in April.
