Hello Parents/Guardians:

It's hard to believe that we have made our way through 3/4 of the school year. Although it has been a tough year, you have shown persistence and resilience. We applaud and thank you for your efforts. We are almost there. This month's newsletter showcases some of the exciting learning that has occurred and details on a few events happening as we finish the school year. Also, next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Take time to thank a teacher, even if it is yourself!! We appreciate your partnership in education this year.

Hamilton's Pledge: Exploring and Teaching Individuality, Equity, and Diversity

3rd Grade Baby Chick Project

I hope that you are all taking some time to get outside and get some fresh air and sunshine! With the warmer temperatures, it is important to make outdoor safety a top priority!


  • May is Bike Helmet Safety Awareness Month. Click here to see if your child’s helmet fits properly. Click here for more information on purchasing refurbished bikes from the LCCAA Bike Shop.

  • Check play area grounds and equipment for safety before allowing children to play.

  • Protect skin from the sun, and seek out time in the shade when temperatures rise. Read more about why EVERYONE needs protection from the sun here.

  • Keep unattended vehicles locked and keep keys out of reach. Avoid leaving children in a vehicle unsupervised. Here is a helpful resource on child vehicle safety.

  • Talk with your child about water safety. Click here for water safety resources.
