We collect voluntary donations during BINGO night for the Keystone Opportunity Center pantry. This Oak Ridge tradition is an opportunity for our Owls to support our community! The donation bin will be located in the lobby. All non-perishable donations are welcome, but please note they are especially in need of the following items:
Peanut butter and jelly
Snacks such as poptarts, granola bars, and rice krispie treats
Crackers - saltines, club, peanut butter and cheese, cheese crackers, etc.
Personal care items (shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, toothpaste, toothbrushes)
Trash bags, tissues
Canned goods are also accepted, but they do receive many canned goods this time of year, and the above items are a greater need
If you can't make it to Bingo Night, and still want to participate, then please contact the Keystone donation coordinator Matt Stone at jamesmattstone@yahoo.com for more information.

Sign up to help Jump Rope Club
Jump Rope Club is an addition to Fun Fridays where kids can jump rope during their lunch recess. Jump Rope Club is still looking for volunteers. There are two different sign up times - the first is for Grades K-2, and the second is for Grades 3-5. See this link to sign up!
Clothing Drive Fundraiser - Monday, November 20
Our clothing drive fundraiser will be held on Monday 11/20 from 9am to noon! Items must be packed in plastic bags (boxes will be turned away!) and will be collected at the Kindergarten entrance of the school. If you need to drive through and drop off before 9am, please carefully place your bags to the side of the Kindergarten entrance and we will grab them when we arrive!
You can donate things like:
- Gently used clothing for Men, Women, and Children
- Gently used shoes for Men, Women, and Children (but these must be packed separately)
- Small soft toys
- Bikes, Scooters
We get paid by the pound, so no donation is too small. Tell your neighbors! See the flyer to come home with your oldest child for more details.
Holiday Shoppe coming soon! Donations and volunteers needed
Our annual Holiday Shoppe will be held from Monday, November 27th through Thursday, November 30th. The Shoppe gives children the opportunity to purchase gifts for their friends and family members (even the furry ones) and experience the joy of giving during the holiday season. Each student will come to shop with their class at a designated time and make-up time will be provided for any student who may be absent on their assigned day. A letter and envelope providing additional details about the Shoppe will be sent home shortly before Thanksgiving break, so please be on the lookout for it.
We are looking for a few donations to help make the Shoppe a success:
- First, we are in need of reusable tote bags or large, sturdy bags with handles (such as those from Giant Direct) that will make it easier for the kids to transport their gifts home. They can be dropped off in the lobby starting the week of November 13th or you can drop them off in the lobby if you are coming in for parent teacher conferences.
- Second, we are also looking for donations to allow students to 'wrap' their gifts and need volunteers to come in and help the children shop. Details are on the sign up genius.
Keep sending in your Yearbook Photos
Please continue to send in your photos from October events like Oak Ridge Walk to School and Bounce Night to orelemyearbook@gmail.com. There are lots of November events to capture as well, so keep them coming!
