Blood Drive
- AVECHS Leadership Students will be hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, 2/26 from 10:00 to 2:30. Students under 15 are not eligible to participate. Students who are 16 need a signed parent permission slip.

Gadsden Foundation Scholarship
Gadsden Foundation Scholarship
The Gadsden foundation Scholarship is open to all Gadsden ISD seniors with a 3.0 GPA. Deadline to apply is March 7.
UNCF Stem Scholarhip
The 2025-2026 UNCF STEM Scholars Program is an initiative designed to identify and provide scholarship and academic support for high school students who aspire to earn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) degrees and to pursue careers in STEM fields, awarding 100 scholarships on an annual basis. The program enables highly capable young people to pursue undergraduate STEM majors and prepares them for successful careers in a variety of STEM professions. If you are willing and able, please share this opportunity with students that may qualify for this program. Deadline to apply is 3/24/2-25.
Eligibility requirements :
- Be a high school senior at the time of the application
- Be African American, Hispanic American, Asian Pacific Islander American, American Indian / Alaskan Native
- Be a citizen, legal permanent resident, or national of the United States
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on an unweighted 4.0 scale
- Pursued a rigorous course of study in high school in math and science courses, including pre-calculus
- Have demonstrated financial and unmet need as measured by the studentโs college or university
- Show evidence of readiness for and commitment to pursue STEM majors, including biological/life sciences, physics, chemistry, computer science/engineering, information sciences, engineering (industrial, mechanical, electrical or chemical), mathematics
- Be enrolled for the first time at a U.S.-located, accredited college or university (with the exception of students concurrently pursuing a high school diploma while taking college-level courses) in the fall as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student

FAFSA--SENIORS COMPLETE FAFSA BY MARCH 1ST
Seniors: If you did not complete the FAFSA, but still need help, the New Mexico Education Assitance Foundation has online help. You log in and a rep will take you to a break out room to assist you.
On select Mondays from 3-6 PM, students and parents can log in to our virtual help session, FAFSA Money Mondays.
