Menu of Services from AASL Standards
Here's some of the things I do:
Collaborate: Modeling the use of a variety of communication tools and resources. Stimulating learners to actively contribute to group discussions.
Explore: Fostering an atmosphere in which constructive feedback is openly accepted for positive growth. Teaching problem solving through cycles of design, implementation, and reflection.
Include: creating an atmosphere in which learners feel empowered and interactions are learner-initiated.
Curate: Facilitating opportunities to access and evaluate collaboratively constructed information sites. Sharing a variety of sources.
Engage: Championing and modeling safe, responsible, ethical, and legal information behaviors. Guiding the dissemination of new knowledge through means appropriate for the intended audience.

Important Reminders
Media Orientation
Media Orientation is taking place daily during advisory. Watch out for an email with your day. Please be on time.
Mr. Ogletree is coming around to give laptops. Please email the student's name. Please don't send students to the Media Center. You may also call Ogletree, his extension is 5393.
Media Passes
I am giving the green pass to you during Media Orientation. The green passes are for students wanting to check out books.
Technology
If you have a need for a laptop, web cam, doc cam, or headphones we have them for you. Just send me an email. I will send you the link to the form to submit.
Reserving the Media Center or Computer Lab
When needing to reserve the Media Center please send me an email with the date and time(s). This is a first come, first serve basis.

Things Happening in the Media Center

3. EOC testing is taking place in the Media Center.
4. Please encourage students to visit the Media Center to check out books.
5. When reading in class remind students to log their reading minutes in Beanstack. Also, I have class sets of books in the book room. Stop by and choose a book for your class to read.
