Principal's Message

Dear Slaybaugh Families,

We are currently full steam ahead in planning for the January 19th return to our Hybrid Schedule for teaching and learning. Our staff and administration are working incredibly hard to ensure that we can mirror as close to a normal school day as possible. Just a few reminders as we return to our hybrid model:

· Children MUST wear a mask on the bus and in school

· Please continue to complete the EHT Student Covid-19 Reporting Form

· If you would like your child to participate in Parent Pick-up, you must submit a note in writing to their classroom teacher, and as a result, they will not be put on the bus

· Remind your child to social distance, wash their hands frequently, and do not share food

The Slaybaugh School is ready to welcome the teachers and students back!

As another reminder, we will also be hosting a "Hunt for Happiness Week" with fun activities to get both students and teachers back into the groove of returning to school. Please see the flyer in this newsletter for each day's activities.

Student Acheivment

Preschool Students Can "Bearly" Contain Their Excitement for Learning!

Mrs. Milstead's class is learning about animals that migrate, hibernate and adapt. We learned that polar bears are the only bears that do not hibernate... they adapt for the winter weather!

Computer Class is Sweet!

Ms. Nardone's technology classes have spent the last couple of weeks making a Google Spreadsheet. The students have done an amazing job with this project. Ms. Nardone's first grade classes worked on a fun project called Ms. Nardone's candy shop. After the students inputted their "data" they made bar graphs. Fabulous work Ms. Nardone's students!
