This year we are celebrating 18 new families that are joining our school community and six new teachers/staff members.

Welcome home everyone!

All of our teachers are starting to plan field trips for students. Save up! If you might be interested in volunteering/chaperoning for a field trip, please complete the volunteer paperwork including the fingerprinting and background check. We will also need volunteer cleared drivers that meet the insurance requirements. Please see the handbook for more information.

6th Grade Science Camp is coming up and is our most expensive trip. We expect the cost to be around $550. Please save up or participate in school sponsored family fundraisers like working concessions at the Stockton Arena, using SCRIP gift cards (RaiseRight) and selling pies at Christmas to help with your own family expenses.

We will once again offer middle school music with Mr. Josh Landin, St. Mary's High School. If your middle school child is interested in percussion (drums) or winds (trumpets, sax, flute etc), please contact Mrs. Jauregui at njauregui@asastockton.org. The lessons are free but the instruments will need to be rented or purchased. We will begin this week, Wednesdays at 2:15pm (12:15pm on the noon dismissal days)

Choir will be led by Mo Burrise and will begin this week on Thursdays at 2pm. Let your child's teacher know if they are interested in participating.

The Fall Season of Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) athletics begins in the next few weeks with Girls Basketball and Boys/Girls Cross Country.

We need 10 players to form a girls basketball team and we need coaches. These are the divisions available: 3rd Grade, 4-5th Grade, 6-8th Grade. Is anyone interested in forming a team? The cost is $50 plus the cost of the uniform for each player.

Cross Country is open to boys and girls and we have coaches for the following divisions (thank you volunteers!). The cost is $40 and students wear the ASA Spirit Wear t-shirts for the uniform. Practice begins this week for some age groups. Stay tuned for more information coming from the coach, by email, and an official sign up form coming from the office.

Grade 2/3 - Yasmin Lee (needs one parent volunteer) (Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 - 4:30pm)

Grade 4/5 - Victor Gutierrez (needs one parent volunteer) ((Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 - 4:30pm)

Grade 6, 7, 8 - Marlene Gastelum (aka Coach Lenny) (needs one parent volunteer) (Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 - 4:30pm)

ASA Students will be joined by students from UC Berkeley and Little Manila Rising on Thursday, September 1. Wear your spirit wear and jeans please! Students, YOU WILL GET DIRTY!
