Quail Call
March 10
Dear Families,
Tomorrow is a big day for our students and our team! We are embarking on a new adventure together. Our focus is to support all our learners, both at school and at home. We have put forth a lot of effort in these past weeks to prepare a safe learning environment where students can learn while also building a positive community. Below are some very important reminders if your child is attending in-person learning.
Wearing a Face Mask at School
With most of our students coming back onsite, social distancing will be more difficult. Proper mask wearing is going to be vital to keeping students and staff safe. New guidance from the CDC states to wear a mask with multiple layers of fabric (click here for more information) . We are asking all students to come to school wearing masks with at least two layers of tightly-woven fabric. Please make sure your child has a mask that fits firmly around the nose. Students will not be allowed to wear gators or tube masks. Masks must have straps that go either around their ears or tie behind their head.
If you are looking for a good mask, Halo, is a mask company that makes double-layered masks with a pocket to add a carbon filter. These are good fitting masks that are shown to be effective against airborne viruses. We reached out to this company to purchase good masks for all our staff. They were very generous and donated a mask to all our staff. In addition, for every purchase made from our school community, we will receive a donated mask. We will also receive 20% of the proceeds. To learn more about Halo, you can visit this link.

Student Pick Up Starting Thursday
In order to follow Covid protocols, beginning March 11, dismissals will be staggered. Families will receive a colored card to be displayed on their rearview mirrors. The color denotes the family's pickup time slot. Please do not get into the pickup line until after your allotted pickup time slot. Each family will receive two cards of the same color. Drivers that arrive early will be required to loop around until their time slot. No early arrivals will be allowed to idle in the pickup zone. Only pre-arranged early pickups will be allowed. Cards will be given to students Wednesday, March 10th at their meet-up.
2:55 Pickup time will receive blue cards
