Dear CES Families,

I hope that you all are having a great week. I am writing to share with you that I will be retiring at the end of the 24-25 school year. My 7 years as principal at CES have been a true Blessing, and I will forever cherish my time here. We are so fortunate to have dynamic staff members, wonderful students, and an amazing community of parents and supporters. It has been my honor and privilege to serve as your principal. This school is in great hands and I look forward to witnessing Chapin Elementary School’s continued success. Until then, please know that you will get nothing but my best each and every day. I appreciate you and all that each of you do to support CES and our Awesome Eaglets. Thank you.

Family Time with the Phil

The South Carolina Philharmonic is hosting Family Time with the Phil, a free concert designed especially for young children and children with special needs. This engaging and interactive performance provides a welcoming, sensory-friendly environment where all children can experience the joy of live music!

Koger Center for the Arts
3:00 PM with pre-concert activities starting at 2 PM
Free admission!

This event is a wonderful way to introduce children to orchestral music in a supportive and inclusive setting! Hope to see you there!

Meet & Mingle

Military Families Invited to 2nd Annual Meet & Mingle at Chapin Elementary

Military families are invited to join us for the 2nd Annual Military Family Meet & Mingle on April 4th from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Chapin Elementary School! Hosted by Eaglets Making Impact, Team Landolph, and Fidelis Family Retreat, this event is designed to bring military families together for an evening of fun, connection, and community support.

Families can enjoy games, crafts, food, and resource tables, all while meeting and connecting with other military families in the area. Whether you're new to the community or have been here for years, this is a wonderful opportunity to relax, have a great time, and access valuable resources.

4K and 5K registration for the 2025 - 2026 school year is now OPEN.

5K Registration ONLY

5K registration- CLICK HERE to register for the 2025-26 school year.

**If your child is currently attending the 4K program, you Do Not need to register. They will move up to 5K.

For information regarding 4K screening appointments -

If your child turns 4 years old on or before September 1st of this year, please complete the application CLICK HERE , provide 1 proof of residence, a copy of the child’s birth certificate and a verification of family income for full consideration into our 4K program. It is imperative that we have verification from each working adult in the household to have a complete application.

Student Eligibility *Meeting documented family income 185 percent or less of poverty or Medicaid eligibility or *After 75% of eligible children are enrolled, the student scores below the 25th percentile on two of three subscales on DIAL-4.

IMPORTANT

Any parent wishing to volunteer at Chapin Elementary School MUST have an approved volunteer application on file. The linked form must be filled out, turned into the school with a copy of your driver's license, and be approved through our district safety committee before you can be considered to chaperone a field trip, volunteer in the classroom, or help at a PTO event. Once you have been approved your application will remain on file and valid for three years.
