LODL "WAVES" Newsletter

Dearest LODL Families,

What a great past week we had here at school - the weather and the fall colors could not be more amazing! Thank you for your continued partnership with our school. You will hear me say this several times over the years - but it truly does take a village. Thank you for working with us as a team as we do everything within our power to best serve each and every single one of our students.

We were so excited to have our first round of WAVES Superhéroes this week! We will continue to highlight and honor students each Friday morning that have demonstrated WAVES. Another exciting opportunity is we will have our first all school meeting this Tuesday, October 18 at 2:45 - 3:00. All school meetings are a very powerful experience.

Please note that all of our district's staff will be changing over to a Google email server effective October 20. It will still be the first initial and last name, but no longer the @priorlake-savage.k12.mn.us. So from here on out, please feel free to contact me directly at 952-226-0303 or rkucinski@plsas.org.

Our Lost and Found is starting to grow. Please make sure your student checks the lost and found located just outside the main doors in the entryway of LODL.

Wednesday, October 19th is Unity Day. Unity Day is showing unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying. Because we have an in-service day on the 19th, we will observe Unity Day on Tuesday, October 18 at LODL by wearing orange.

Vision and Hearing Screening will be conducted on Thursday December 8th for all 1st and 4th graders. Please remind your child to bring their glasses on screening day. If you would like to opt out of screening, please call or email your child's health office.
