Friendly Friday Update
The weekly newsletter for the FHMS Community - 10/13/23
Mr. Hiti's Message
I hope you had an opportunity to connect with your students' teacher(s) this week at conferences. Please remember that if you need more time, or would like to meet with more teachers, you can contact the team to set up an appointment. Keep checking your student’s grades to make sure they are caught up with all of their assignments.
Check in with your student to see what they are reading or any books they currently have checked out. I have found that students really enjoy talking about their current books, and can offer a lot of details as to what the book is about, and they are more than willing to give their recommendation to you.

Please indicate if you will need interpretation.

2023 Levy Information
School District 197 is seeking voter approval for two levies this fall. One levy would renew an existing technology levy that funds nearly all of our district's educational technology, and the other would invest in a new operating levy to maintain class sizes and avoid cuts to programs and staff. These levies will be on the ballot for the November 7, 2023 election. Learn more at isd197.org/vote2023.
The community is invited to the district’s in-person community information session, where you can gather information and ask questions about the 2023 levies.
October 25, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
