Dear Greeley Families,

We are excited to welcome our students into the new school year tomorrow morning! Please review a few brief (but important) updates below.

This year, our schools will be implementing additional safety protocols to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Our school will strive to continue to provide a welcoming atmosphere for family visitors, while also instituting recommended guidelines for school safety.

For this reason, we are no longer able to have families escort their children into the school on our first day. As an alternative, teachers will greet children in the following areas:

• Kindergarten: kindergarten playground
• 1st - 4th: playground "blacktop"

We will, of course, continue to have many opportunities for families to visit at our school throughout the year.

On another note, we aim to have car pick-up and drop-off move quickly. All families are welcome to bring their child to their teacher for a special hug, good-bye, or photo! We kindly require families wanting to do this to park their vehicles, as drivers should not be exiting their vehicles during the drop-off process.

Communication is key between the home and school. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher with questions specific to their daily schedule, curriculum, classroom needs, etc.

The Greeley office is also eager to help families with any questions or needs. For more general questions about our school, please contact our main office line at (847) 446-6060. If we cannot immediately help, we will be happy to connect families with the right contact.

Our nurse, Mrs. Eilers, is also available for health needs. Her office may be reached at (847) 501-5062.

Lastly, a few notes about email: over the course of the last few years, we have encountered emails from families being sent to teachers' spam folders, especially emails from corporate accounts. Although staff is directed to check their spam folder from time to time, please reach out to the Greeley office if you suspect your email was not received. Staff strive to answer emails within 24 hours. Note that staff are not always able to check email throughout the day, so please be comfortable communicating immediate needs with the main office.

Please remember that parents visiting our schools are required to have a valid drivers license or state ID to sign in. All visitors must buzz in at our front door only. Thank you for your continued partnership in ensuring a safe learning community.

3:15pm | Grades 1-4 & Extended play kindergarten dismissal
