Knights EXCEL
Week of May 8th- May 12th
Stay invested in your child's education and Stay in touch...
Research shows that the more teachers are in communication with parents & caregivers, the more student achievement is experienced 📈.
Keep on learning, keep on learning ... we are in the short stretch and these final laps are the most important! Can you answer the following questions positively about your child? If not how can you partner with SGMS to ensure these last 24 days are the BEST they can be and drive decisions that will ensure your child is a positive member in the Culture of EXCEL-lence!
1) Are they on track for promotion? (passing classes-students may not fail more than one class for the year)
2) Does their attendance show adequate time in school to be ready for the next grade? (This means their days missed is less than 10% of the school year-example 180 days less than 18 absences)
3) Is their behavior impeding the learning of others and themselves? (repeated disciplinary incidents are not indicative of high time on task for optimal success)
