Chandler Early College High School Vol 1 Issue 8

Mid-progress grades are today. Seniors have 19 days until graduation and underclassmen have 24 days until their last day of school. This quarter is flying by. Please keep encouraging your child that they can finish out strong.

Underclassmen have been giving registration forms for next year and Ms. Ramirez and I will be meeting with them next week to go over class selection.

Exciting news for next year...we are updating the office and classrooms over the summer. Students will have flexible furniture to assist with our style of learning at CEC.

Teacher appreciation week is coming up the first week in May. I wanted to thank everyone who has signed up to assist to spoil our teachers. It will be a fun week for sure.

Finally, I just want to thank you for all of your support this year. As the year winds down, I have never felt so blessed to be part of such a wonderful community. CEC truly is the best place to be!

Graduation Location Change

CGCC just informed us that they will be working on the Student Pavilion the week of graduation. They have changed the location of our graduation to the Agave Building in their conference hall. More information to follow.

Counseling Corner with Cassie Ramirez

What a busy month April has been with state testing, ACT and ACT Aspire. We have been recommending summer school for students, but if you are wanting your child to attend summer school, please make sure to email me at ramirez.cassandra@cusd80.com. Summer school for credit recovery is at Chandler High School. Students wanting to get ahead in credits will need to do summer school through Chandler Online Academy.

Computers, books, and fees/fines need to be returned or taken care of before May 18th.

Attendance

Please make sure to call the attendance line (480.224.3067) to excuse your child if they are feeling ill within 24 hours. If your child is going to be tardy or leave early, you can either send a text to your child or call the attendance line.
