A Message from Mr. Miller
Dear Wade Families,
I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving Holiday and some of the extra time you got to spend with your children and family members. Winter is officially here; the cold air looks like it might be here to stay a while. Please make sure you are dressing your child in the morning for the weather. CCPS only cancels outdoor activities if the real feel temperature is below 32 degrees or there is a weather occurrence. I would also strongly recommend you write your child's name on the inside of their coats, hats and gloves.
Our PTO presenter that was scheduled for this month's meeting had to reschedule due to an unforeseen issue. Our PTO meeting that was scheduled for December will be postponed until January 9th. I hope to see you all there in January.
To help spread some seasonal cheer, we are having three spirit weeks to kick off the month of December. Please see the calendar below for the information.
Mrs. Davis is planning a Winter Wonderland in December. Please reach out to her at madavis@ccboe.com to offer assistance. As always, thank you for your continued support!
Thank you,
William Miller,
Principal

Due to allergies, students and their parents/guardians are not allowed to bring to school and distribute any outside food products unless the products are commercially manufactured, individually wrapped in singe serving sizes and marked with the ingredients and the nutritional facts label. Parents/guardians must obtain permission from their child's teacher or school administrator prior to bringing outside food for distribution so that the teacher/administrator can review the timing and impact on the school day, the benefit and fairness to students, and other considerations.
Animals on School Property
No dogs or other pets are permitted in school buildings or on school grounds without direct permission of the school administration. Exceptions are service animals used for public school-sponsored programs approved by school administration.
Lost and Found
Has your child misplaced their coat, sweatshirt, lunch box, glasses or any other objects? If so, they might be located in our Lost and Found box in the cafeteria. Our lost and found box is ready to overflow and we have not even hit wintertime yet. So, if you notice that something is missing, please let their teacher know and your child can look for their materials in our lost and found in the cafeteria.
Holiday Time of Year
While we try to minimize our focus on the holidays, at this time of year, teachers may plan instructional activities that do have a holiday theme. If you would prefer that your student not participate in instructional activities with a holiday theme, please notify your child’s teacher in writing so that alternative activities can be planned.
Morning Arrival
Your cooperation with all arrival and dismissal procedures helps ensure the safety and security of all of our students. We appreciate your cooperation and support throughout this process.
Doors will open for students at 8:15. You can drop off your student(s) anytime between 8:15 and 8:30. After 8:30, students are marked late and are missing instructional time. This will count as a tardy. Please be sure to pull all the way around to the corner of the curb for drop off. There are staff members on duty to show you where to stop. Please pay attention to where they are directing you to go.
Do NOT DROP your student off along Smallwood Drive. For their safety, please enter into the blue parking lot and drop them off along the curb where there are multiple adults to assist them. The green parking lot is for busses and daycare vans only. Please do NOT PARK along Smallwood Drive and walk your child up to the school. Smallwood Drive is a very busy road and it causes a dangerous situation to have vehicles parked along the main road, as well as making it difficult for drivers to see when pulling out of the parking lot.
As the temperatures are beginning to drop our car rider line in the morning gets longer and longer. Set your alarm to leave 5 minutes earlier from your house to get your child to school on time.
