Introducing PBIS at the Ridge
PBIS is a Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports system that recognizes student behaviors identified as those leading to student success. Creating a school-wide PBIS system fosters a positive learning environment for all students and staff!
Our first focus is Attendance and "On Time" to class Behavior.

What: 6th Annual Peachtree Ridge High School Trunk or Treat
Concessions/Food, Haunted Hallway ($5), Costume Contest, and Trick or Treating
When: Thursday, October 26, 2023, 6pm- 8pm
Who: Peachtree Ridge Community Cluster Families

PTSA Reflections- Extended
Theme "I am hopeful because..."
Call of entries final deadline has been extended to October 24th.

What is Reflections?
The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts program designed to give students an outlet for creative expression. It is an opportunity to explore the cultural arts while challenging their imagination. Students interpret each year’s theme in the categories of dance choreography, film, visual arts, photography, literature, and musical composition.
Who may participate?
Students in grades Pre-K – 12 who are enrolled in a school where there is a PTA/PTSA may submit entries through their Local PTA/PTSA Unit Reflections Program. In Gwinnett County, the number of entries per student is not limited, however, all rules must be followed for each entry. Please see attachment for detailed requirements for each category.

*Students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 may enter in the Special Artist Division or grade division most closely aligned to their functional abilities.
Please note: Both photography and visual arts will require a physical entry as well. Stay tuned for drop off times/locations. This will allow us to display your student’s work.

2024 AP Exam Payments OPEN NOW!
PSAT: October 25th
The PSAT is administered once a year nationwide. The administration date for the 2023 PSAT is Tuesday, October 25th, 2023. We will have an adjusted bell schedule on October 25 and 26th to accommodate the PSAT.
For Students taking the PSAT on October 25th . Please make sure you bring your GCPS assigned chrome book on October 25th.
GCPS Calendar Options
Calendar Voting for 2024-2025 & 2025-2026 School Years is open September 19-October 22, 2023
A school calendar guides the operations of the school district; it includes days when students and staff are in school and out of school. This year, GCPS is asking students, staff, and parents to review the four (4) available calendar options and vote on the calendar of your choice. You will be able to vote only one time. Each calendar option includes two (2) school year calendars: 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.
Visit the GCPS Website to review each option carefully before casting your vote and find answers to frequently asked questions.
The survey to cast your vote is being emailed to all GCPS students, parents, and staff on Wednesday, September 20. The email will come from Gwinnett County Public Schools; the address is noreply@qemailserver.com. You will confirm your identity by entering the email when you click on the link you were sent.
Voting on school calendars will close on October 22, 2023, at 11:59 p.m.

Yearbooks are for sale online at https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/ use school code 25659 for Peachtree Ridge High School and choose Order a Yearbook.

Scholastic Images will be on campus during all lunches on the dates below.

GOFAN for Event Tickets
Sports tickets can only be purchased via GoFan with a credit or debit card to home sporting events. To purchase a home ticket for games please click on PRHS GOFAN. Many other schools are also going touch-less for tickets as well. If they are using GoFan, those tickets will also be available under Peachtree Ridge.

Volleyball in the Sweet 16
Lady Lion's varsity team battled in a very competitive game in the first round of the state playoffs and defeated South Forsyth to move on to the Sweet 16!
They will play Walton HS at Walton on Saturday, October 21st @ noon. See the Brackets here.
High Five Team of the Week
PRHS Football was named the High Five Team of the Week by Fox 5. They did their broadcast from PRHS on Thursday Morning.

Senior Dues
Senior dues will be collected through Scholastic Images. they can be paid online or when Scholastic is on campus (see dates in general announcements section).They accept cash, credit cards and checks/money orders. We ask every student to purchase Package A.
Yearbook Ads- Deadline Extended to Nov. 20
The Yearbook Senior Ad Deadline has been extended until November 20, 2023. The ad must be purchased and built by this date or it will not appear in the book. There will not be a second extension. Instructions are included in the attached handout or can be purchased at herffjones.com.
Word of the Month: eCLASS
Definition: Gwinnett County Public Schools recognized an early need for technology to permeate the education of Gwinnett’s learners. eCLASS is a major school system initiative designed to make this vision a reality. eCLASS is a digital Content, Learning, Assessment, and Support System that provides the district an integrated enterprise solution to enhance student engagement and the learning process.
GCPS My eCLASS Student Portal is the student landing page once they log into their Chromebook or the portal. This landing pages includes digital textbooks, additional resources (Google, Adobe Express, Microsoft 365, and more), and apps (eCLASS course pages, StudentVUE, StudentSquare, Assessment, and more).
There are several apps that students can download to their personal devices to access "apps" that are found their eCLASS portal.

StudentSquare
Students cans see communication from the school and specific groups. Also direct messages with school staff.
Brightspace Pulse
Students can see and interact on their eCLASS course pages.
