GRIZZLY NEWSLETTER/BOLETIN
October 2023 | octubre 2023
MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL RUSSELL / MENSAJE DEL DIRECTOR RUSSELL
Greetings, Grant Families!
I continue to feel honored to be a part of the Grant community! I am proud of our staff and students for a strong, positive start to the school year.
As we look ahead to the month of October, we have some exciting events that I want to share with you.
September 29th was our Picture Day and our first Grizzly Pride Assembly! Each month, we recognize two students from each class who have exemplified the character trait of focus. Congratulations to all the students who received recognition today, please check backpacks for their award if you could not make it in person.
We value your partnership in your child’s education. Please join us for our annual Title 1 Parent Meeting on October 3rd at 5:30 pm. It’s an opportunity for us to share important information about our Title 1 program and collaborate on ways to support your child’s learning journey effectively. We will also kick off our Parent Club for the year, and we are hoping to recruit more members. Finally, there will be representatives from our community present to share about resources and respond to questions.
Our Jog-A-Thon is fast approaching on October 6th! This event not only promotes physical fitness and a sense of community but also serves a vital purpose. The funds raised will support field trips, student incentives, and special events. Our goal is to raise $10,000, which will enable our students to earn a glow party. Every step counts, and we encourage all students to participate to help us reach our fundraising target.
I want to express my gratitude for your ongoing support as parents and guardians. Together, we can create an enriching and nurturing environment for our students to thrive.
Thank you for being an integral part of the Grant Community School family. I look forward to the incredible experiences and achievements that this school year will bring.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Russell
